At just nine years old, Abdul Raheem’s life has already been marked by immense challenges. Living with a physical disability, Abdul’s journey hasn’t been an easy one. Seven years ago, he lost his father to a sudden brain hemorrhage, leaving his mother to care for him and his brother alone. Despite her efforts to secure Abdul’s admission to nearby schools, each door seemed to close, one after another, denying him the education he so deeply longed for.
In March 2024, however, hope arrived in the form of TAKMIL’s newly opened school in Mananwala, near Nankana Sahib, Punjab. Abdul’s unwavering passion for learning resonated with TAKMIL’s mission, and the school welcomed him with open arms. Finally given the chance to study, Abdul’s talents began to shine. Fascinated by books, he quickly taught himself to write by watching and practicing tirelessly. His notebooks are now filled with math tables, English words, and phrases, each carefully organized by subject. Even at home, Abdul is captivated by the joy of writing and spends hours filling pages with knowledge.
Doctors have assured his mother that with the right nutrition, Abdul can lead a healthy, fulfilling life. He’s not on any medication, but his spirit and determination to learn serve as his true healing force. His passion for education and his relentless drive to learn more with each day stand as powerful reminders of his potential.
Abdul Raheem’s story is a testament to the transformative power of opportunity and hope. With continued support, he is bound to accomplish remarkable things.
