Durnaz Baloch – A Dream Rekindled in the Mountains of Balochistan

In the quiet, mountainous village of Hirnok, nestled in District Kech, Turbat, a young girl named Durnaz Baloch dared to dream beyond the steep slopes and rocky paths of her surroundings. From a young age, Durnaz imagined herself not just as a student—but as a teacher, a mentor, a guide.
She completed her early schooling in her hometown and later moved to Turbat for higher education. But life, as it often does, presented its trials. In the middle of her first year of college, tragedy struck. Her father—who worked abroad as a driver—fell gravely ill and soon passed away. With him went the family’s sole source of income. Durnaz, with a heavy heart, was forced to put her studies on hold.
Yet, dreams like hers don’t fade—they wait.
After a period of financial and emotional struggle, she bravely returned to her books and completed her intermediate education in 2023. Alongside her academic pursuits, she nurtured a hidden gift—art. In moments of solitude, Durnaz would draw what she couldn’t always express in words: her hopes, her fears, and her dream of becoming a teacher.
That dream finally took flight when she found TAKMIL.
She joined Shaheed Pervez Akhtar TAKMIL School in Hirnok as a teacher, and it changed everything. For the first time, she wasn’t just pursuing a dream—she was living it. TAKMIL didn’t just give her a job; it gave her purpose, identity, and pride. In her own words, “People now call me ‘Teacher Durnaz.’ It is the most beautiful feeling in the world.”
Today, Durnaz stands not only as an educator but as a role model in her community. Her classroom is a sanctuary where learning, curiosity, and creativity flourish—and where every child is inspired to dream, just like she once did.
TAKMIL gave her the platform—Durnaz built the future.
And she’s just getting started.
