In the small village of Basti Habibabad, Khairpur Tamiwali, Bahawalpur, 10-year-old Muhammad Sohail is a shining example of resilience in the face of unimaginable hardship. Born into extreme poverty, his family struggles to survive with his father working tirelessly as a laborer. Adding to their challenges, Sohail suffers from Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI), a rare genetic condition that makes his bones so brittle they can break with minimal impact. Tragically, his two brothers and sister also share this debilitating condition, leaving them unable to walk and confined to their home.
Despite these overwhelming odds, Sohailโs spirit remains unbroken. Determined to overcome his circumstances, he attends Shaheed Behram TAKMIL School daily, navigating the journey with the aid of a walker. Now in Grade 6, Sohail has shown remarkable academic progress. He is a bright and curious student, passionate about learning and excelling in his studies.
Sohail dreams of a life where he can walk unaided, pursue higher education, and support his family. However, without proper medical treatment and continued support for his education, these dreams feel painfully out of reach.
