Vishal Nisar: From Brickyard to Classroom—A Journey of Hope

At just 11 years old, Vishal Nisar has lived a life far beyond his years. Growing up in a large family with four brothers and three sisters, Vishal learned early what it means to work hard. His father spends long, exhausting days baking bricks under the scorching sun—labour that barely keeps the household afloat.

Belonging to a minority community in Pakistan, Vishal’s path was even more uncertain. Instead of holding books, he often held clay and mud, helping his father mould bricks when the family could not afford his school expenses. But even in those difficult moments, his heart was set on one dream: to learn.

In 2023, that dream found a way forward. Vishal joined TAKMIL in Grade 5 (Level 1), determined to catch up with the children he used to watch walking to school with their backpacks and bright smiles.

Today, Vishal is studying in Grade Level 11, with a love for Urdu and an unshakable desire to become a teacher. He wants to return the gift of education to other children in his village—so they, too, can see that poverty does not have to decide their future.

💬 Vishal’s Message to All Children:
“If you want to achieve something in life, then study and work hard. Everything is possible.”

His story is a testament to the power of resilience and the promise that education holds. When given a chance, every child—no matter their circumstances—can rise, thrive, and inspire.

🌿 Let Vishal’s journey remind us: when we invest in learning, we light a spark that no hardship can ever put out.

When a Girl Learns, a Community Heals: Hamna’s Dream of Becoming a Doctor

In the quiet village of Toheedabad, where dusty fields stretch under the burning Punjab sun, lives a 13-year-old girl with a heart full of ambition and a dream bigger than her surroundings. Meet Hamna Farooq—a student of Grade 7 at Adil Shahzad TAKMIL School and a symbol of what can happen when opportunity meets determination.

Hamna comes from a humble home. Her father, Farooq Aziz, works tirelessly in the agricultural fields and also serves as an Imam in the local mosque, guiding his community spiritually while providing for his four children. Like many girls in remote villages, Hamna’s first steps in education began at a local madrassa—her only available option for learning.

But everything changed in August 2022, when TAKMIL opened a school in her village.

For the first time, Hamna sat in a classroom with books, science charts, and a teacher guiding her through lessons in math, English, and beyond. It didn’t take long for her to shine. Quiet yet curious, Hamna quickly developed a deep love for learning—especially science. She dreams of becoming a doctor, not for status or money, but to heal, educate, and empower the very community that raised her.

After school, Hamna still helps her parents with daily chores, but now she does it with purpose—with a future in sight. Every page she turns brings her closer to a life where she can serve others through knowledge and compassion.

Hamna’s story is not just about one girl. It’s about thousands of girls in Pakistan who are waiting for someone to believe in them, to open a classroom door, and to say, “You belong here.”

With your support, TAKMIL is turning that belief into reality.

Because when a girl learns—a village heals.

From Shadows to Stars: Bano’s Journey of Hope, Curiosity, and Courage

Imagine a girl who lost her father at a young age. Imagine the weight of grief shadowed by the weight of survival. Now, meet Bano—a determined 11-year-old from Chak 93DB, Bahawalpur—who didn’t let life’s harshest trials dim her light. Instead, she turned every struggle into a stepping stone and every question into a window to a new world.

Bano was born into a family of five siblings, in a home where love was abundant but resources were not. Her father, Dano, worked tirelessly in agricultural fields to feed his family until his sudden passing left a vacuum too big to fill. With his loss, the burden of survival fell entirely on Bano’s mother, Nirmala, who now labors in the same fields, side by side with Bano’s elder brother, to keep the family afloat.

In the wake of this immense loss, Bano’s world could have easily shrunk to chores and hardship. She was never enrolled in a school and instead spent her days helping her mother with household work. But where others saw misfortune, Bano nurtured a quiet dream—a dream of learning, of knowing the world beyond the boundaries of her home and the fields.

That dream took its first breath when TAKMIL opened Shaheed Muhammad Muazam School in her village. For the first time, Bano held a pencil not just to scribble but to shape her future. She was enrolled in Grade 5, and in no time, she stood out—not because she had it easy, but because she showed up every day with fire in her eyes and questions on her lips.

English became her favorite subject. Bano’s curiosity extended beyond textbooks. She wanted to know the English names for everyday objects in the kitchen and asked her teachers how they were used in sentences. She began to see the world through a new lens—one word, one sentence, one discovery at a time.

Even after school, her responsibilities didn’t end. She would rush home to help her mother with daily chores, and only after the dishes were washed and the tasks were done, she would retreat into her sketchbook. Her passion for drawing and coloring became her therapy—her escape into a world where beauty and dreams coexisted freely.

Today, Bano is no longer a silent helper in the background. She is a young girl with a voice, a vision, and a vibrant will to become a teacher—so she can uplift other girls like herself, whose lives have been marked by limitations but fueled by potential.

Her story is not just her own. It is a tribute to her mother’s strength, a salute to her father’s sacrifices, and a celebration of how access to education—through TAKMIL—can redefine a life.

Bano’s journey is a reminder: when you educate a girl, you’re not just teaching her how to read and write—you’re giving her the tools to rewrite her destiny.
